Not All Phonics Programs are Created Equal!
There are many programs that claim to teach children how to read. These programs use various methods to teach reading, but if you choose the wrong program with the wrong method, you may be doing more harm than good.
In separate reports commissioned by the governments of the USA, UK and Australia, teams of experts studied scientific research, and all three came to the same conclusion:
The best way to introduce children to reading is with synthetic phonics.

Great interview! It makes sense that one shouldn’t confuse kids learning to read by teaching them the names of the letters of the alphabet at the same time as teaching them the sounds of the letters.
